“The Mood“ was formed by Ales and Ondra in August 2001 in Babice (Uherske Hradiste) in the east part of the Czech republic. After several months Ondra left the band and he has became a former singer of the only one song “Slova”.
Ales takes care of the singer post and keeps playing guitar. Kristl plays the bass, Prema hits the drums and Marek is behind the guitar. The Mood recorded it‘s first album “Under pressure of time”. It was live recording in rehearsal room with help of our friend Oto. It was released on the band’s costs and distributed by Impregnate noise laboratories .
The Mood had many shows in Moravia during the year 2002. Members of the band came up with idea to organise shows in their rehearsal room in Babice and finally start with “Have a nice day crew shows“
The year 2003 gave a birth to the first full time CD “Mad about ghost” which was released in January 2004. It was released on the band’s costs again and distributed by Samuel records. Unfortunately there appeared personal problems soon after this release. As a result of this Mark left the band. At the same time Ondra came back to fill up the sound by his new keyboard. „The Mood“ in new formation had many shows all round the Czech republic and even had some shows in Germany and Poland.
„The Mood“ made a progress in their new sound with Ondra and his keyboard in 2005. Therefore they started searching for more convenient place to record new album. „Have a nice day crew (HAND crew)“ activities passed through huge progress too. There had been many bands coming to perform in Babice during these years.
„The Mood“ met sound engineer Robert and he came on a board like a very good friend while recording new songs in spring 2006. New release was called “Cupid in your pump”. „The Mood“ sponsored release of it again (Hand records) and “Cupids” were distributed by Nightmare records. The Mood toured through out Russia from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Ales left the Czech Republic to spend summer 2006 in the USA. The Mood had a break. He came back full of new inspiration.
The Mood showed around the Czech Republic, worked on new songs and Have a nice day crew organised many other shows in Babice during the year 2007. There were recorded new four songs “Unreleased and still in progress” in cooperation with Robert. Band has been searching for a label.
Recording of new songs in April 2008 with Robert Slezák. Shows in Austria in June. The Mood released new album “Makes us wonder” on their costs (HAND crew) in cooperation with Can Tattoo, distributed by “Absent Hour Records, design by Anežka Hošková. The first music video recorded – RUN OUT OF LUCK
In spite of Přemek’s serious injury band continue with friend Břeťa as a drummer at shows in 2009. During the summer Přemek comes back for several shows and recording of new songs for split with MY DEAD CAT. Split is released in the autumn in cooperation with Samuel Records. The new music video is recorded for song “GO ON”.
There were last two shows in official formation in January 2010. Ondra (synth) and Přemek (drums) are leaving the band. THE MOOD will go on with only three instruments – Aleš (guitar, voice), Kristl (bass, vocal), Břeťa (drums, vocals)...
